My Story

About Nick Terry

Hey, I'm Nick Terry, a full-time Chaplain with Motor Racing Outreach. For ten years, I worked at the highest level of NASCAR racing as a jackman for Richard Childress Racing. I dedicated my entire adult life to succeeding in NASCAR, and in 2007, we won the Daytona 500. The day after, that Monday, the Lord called me into ministry. I enrolled at Liberty University to earn an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies, and after the 2011 season, I stepped away from competitive racing.

Throughout my racing career, my life was blessed by the ministry of Motor Racing Outreach, and now I have the privilege of serving with them as a full-time chaplain for the NASCAR Cup Series and the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. I'm still a racer at heart, and I deeply love the people who work in racing. It's my calling, and since 2012, I’ve been thankful to walk in it. I later earned a Master of Divinity in Christian Leadership and Church Ministries from Liberty University.

My wife and I are passionate about helping couples succeed in marriage, and so we launched Love to the Finish Line Marriage Coaching. We use this program and materials for marriage ministry to the racing community as part of our work at Motor Racing Outreach. As a full-time chaplain with Motor Racing Outreach, Love to the Finish Line is something we do on the side to help couples. We are a Christian-based marriage coaching business, and everything we do is grounded in the word of God.

Amy and I have been married since 2004 and are the proud parents of three amazing teenage children. Like every couple, our marriage has been a journey filled with growth, challenges, and countless moments of learning along the way.

Family is at the center of our lives. Whether we are cheering on their kids at an activity, spending time together at home, or enjoying time outdoors, we value the everyday moments that make family life meaningful.

Through our own marriage and years of walking alongside other couples, we have developed a deep passion for helping marriages thrive. We believe that strong marriages are built intentionally through commitment, communication, and a willingness to grow together.

Pastors & Ministry Leaders

Small Groups

Any small group can take the course and use the material to discuss together. The couples will still take the online course separately, but it serves as excellent material for small groups focused on marriage.

Pre-Marital

Pre-marital is our primary focus for the online course. The course will provide couples with the knowledge and skills to build a healthy, successful marriage that lasts a lifetime. It can be taken with or without a ministry leader involved.

Married Couples

Sometimes marriages need a tune-up, and this is a great way for couples to invest in their marriage. It requires effort, but couples can take the course privately from the comfort of their home and foster a healthy, successful marriage.

The Online Course

Our online course is utilized in various settings, from pre-marital to married couples seeking a boost to invest in their marriage. It is also popular among pastors and small groups within local churches.

Officiating

We host one-day conferences for local churches and guide a group through all seven sessions of our course in a single day. These conferences include real-time applications. Check out the conferences tab for more info.

Conferences

We provide private marriage coaching sessions conducted virtually through Teams meetings. Space is limited for these sessions, so please contact us directly through our contact page to schedule your private coaching session.

Vision

We help couples build winning marriages through our online marriage course. We use God’s unconditional love as the model, and teach couples our seven essential truths for building a winning marriage.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three are equal in their nature and eternal in their existence. Jesus was fully God and fully man, and He gave His life on the cross to reconcile people to God through faith. We believe the Bible is God’s authoritative, inerrant, perfect word. Human beings were created in God’s image but are sinners in need of the Savior, Jesus. Salvation comes through Christ alone and is a gift from God, received by faith. We believe that His unconditional love is the example for biblical marriage.
